If you’ve been having problems downloading in the Toronto area, this may be the problem (þ Boing Boing). We have no solution at this point, except to suggest only downloading one item at a time.

We’ve got our new server, which is located several hundred kilometers away in Montreal and are testing the v7 version of our software.

We anticipate the switch over to be made at the end of the month at which point we hope you’ll see significant improvements in downloading speed. Once we’re happy, we’ll turn back on creation of new accounts (though only new paying users will get their files served from the new machine).

We’ll also be rolling out some new features and UI improvements that we’ll be posting about over the next few days.

Many of you have been seeing very low download speeds. We apologize for the problem and are working on fixing the issue. We will be adding additional hardware on an independent network by the end of the month to speed up the service seen by our paying customers.
